Hmm that is too bad. I guess if I ever get to raise peachicks then I should be careful with the male ones. I want them tame but not so tame that they are not afraid to attack me!

Just raise them with other peachicks, you should be fine. Mine was a single chick from day one.

I would ask why he is your favorite if he tries to kill you, but my meanest cat is my favorite, too.

One of these days I'll figure out why...

I raised mine with the IBs, and she is so mellow.

Oh okay thanks!

Hey I thought some of you might be interested in this, I found some pictures on a website of wild green peafowl and all the pictures were ither taken last Dec. or some time this year in Thailand of some very beautiful wild greens! I just loved every one of the 40 pictures! Most of them are of the peafowl waiding in a creek and then there are some beautiful pictures of a green peacock displaying for a group of greens. The whole setting is just beautiful and the pictures are nice and clear. The loral patch on their faces is very bright and their feathers shine a beautiful golden in each picture. It just really makes you think about them in the wild like what their lives are like and stuff. Just wanted to share!

no, you do not need permits for them, unless your state just requires a breeders permit, or game bird permit, but they arent individually protected permit wise.
Yes, 100% pure ones are very hard to get and very expensive
know what you are buying before you pay for them
many crooks out there sell spaldings as pure green birds, and hi percentage ones will look very similar
