My flock is maturing nicely. I have 2 roosters and 4 hens LF blacks. I plan on hatching as many as I can this year either under a broody or with the incubator. Their personalities are so laid back and well, nice. Not flightly at all, the roos are non people aggressive. These birds were hatched out of Monte Bowen eggs last may so they are going on 8 months old in these pics.

I was going to say, awesome confirmation.....but then Monte's birds are awesome !!!

Randall Burkey is a "clearing house". They keep no chickens. Most orders for chicks that go to them are sent straight to Ideal Poultry for the orders to be filled, and Ideal has Mottled Javas, has for years. Those are Mottled Javas in the photo. Not even close to Sussex.

I haven't heard of any breeders in Canada. There is a hatchery I believe in Washington state that has started selling some that I recently heard about, but I don't know what the quality of their stock is or if you would be able to drive there to get any or if they ship outside the US. Don't know what the restrictions are on shipping eggs or live poultry to Canada.
