I was reading this old forum and see that you hatched some Java in 2009. Do you still have then and and how do you like them? Do they lay good?

Another excellent hatch of Black Javas !
And just received word that a buyer I sent eggs to is getting excellent hatching as well !
YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great news,chickenlady. I'm setting java eggs tomorrow,these are eggs are from hens i hatched last late spring. One good thing about javas is that they do hatch well!!

I just candled my Auburn Java eggs that are due to hatch Feb14th.
I set 10 and got 7 good out of them. Not bad for pullets. Of the bad ones ones was a blood ring and 2 where clear.
I sneaked a peek at the next rack of eggs I have of the Javas and all of them are good. I can't wait till they hatch.

Thank you. I so need to update my site on the pictures of all my birds. Went to do it sunday and the batteries where dead so had to charge it. If I get home in time I'll take some and post them.

Hi everybody !

Spring is just around the corner & yesterday I noticed my feed Store has a sidewalk board up with a poster saying their chicks arrive on feb 15th !!

My birds are laying really well, and after 4-5 sets, fertility is hovering between 99-100%I have posted an auction this morning....so take a look !

wow I am getting over run with eggs from all my birds right now...and the turkeys are going nuts too !
MUST be spring, but I know last year we ehere got hit hard with a blizzard from no where on Feb 24th.............so I am holding back as hard as I can on starting vegies for the garden..man it is hard to do !
But, I do have one medium incubator full of another set of Javas....and some turkey eggs.
Pens are getting filled up & soon will give vaccines & turn all these little boogers outside in the world.
Hope you are all doing as well !
