Jelly Bean Growth Thread.

Here is Jelly Bean with a RJF/Hybrid. I was gonna use her mother, but she wasn't in the henhouse for easy snatching. The RJF/Hybrid is very wild, hard to catch, & was alittle bit of a jerk. She's going through an eclipse molt.

Adorable!! :love

Also- eclipse molt only happens in ducks, as far as I’m aware of. I think yours is going through either a juvenile molt or just a regular molt. :wee

You always have such pretty birds :D

So cute! She's still pretty tiny. I wonder if she will always be on the smaller side.

Look up JungleFowl Eclipse molt? She's 1 year old now, I got her at 10 weeks from an animal Swap last year.

I see! Didn’t know junglefowl were special. Is it still considered eclipse since she’s a mix or do you know? I think it’s really interesting.
I believe hybrids go through a partial eclipse molt. During the fall through winter she's darker in color, while she's lighter in color during spring, & summer.

I'll have to get a picture of her in breeding plumage, but there's not a huge difference in the females.
