Jersey Giant (or any large breed would fit) roosting question

Barkers I am new to chickens and want to be prepared for next winter I live in a cold climate. What do you have that turns the hea lamp on and off is it thermostat regualted? Can I get a brand name and store you bought it at?

Oh yea!! I knew there was something I was leaving out of the previous post.

We have a thermocube that we bought off of Amazon (no one carries them in our area). Heres the link to the one we got. It is great! Cheap too considering we have an outdoor heavy-duty extension cord to the coop, a surge-protector power strip mounted inside and this plugged into it with our heat lamp. It's worked great for us so far!
