And whenever you change their feed, do it over a period of about 7 days, slowly increasing the amount of the new feed.
Abrupt feed changes can lead to molting.

So I should mix it with the feed I already have? And then every day add a bit more?

I agree, I would keep them on a higher protein feed, but the "large" dual purpose Gals still seem to grow for the first 18 months or so.

Everyone has a differing opinion about corn.
Some will say ditch it all together.
For me, I do give scratch/corn in Moderation! but I feed a 20% protein feed free choice.

If nothing else, don't throw away your corn that's a waste, just cut way back on how much you give at one time, then think about whether you want to buy more or give something else as a treat - some veggies/fruit, etc. I like to switch things up as far as treats go. When it's gardening season, my birds get more fruits/veggies/weeds, winter they get more scratch.

I will feed my chickens some whole corn when temperatures get below minus 15°C, but only just before roosting time, so it will help them to stay warm during the night.

So I should do the same with my cochins, correct? How heavy or big should they be at about 8 months? I know they don’t lay until 8-9 months, and I believe they aren’t yet.

I would.
I feed everyone the same thing regardless of age, gender or breed. Keeps it simple for me
