Jersey Giants thread for pictures and discussion

Yes, Chris, many of us have read it. Though the part about the Blue Jersey Giants is not accurate, as you may know. Maria Hall's family has raised blues since the 1970s, as she has stated on this thread. Makes ya wonder how this stuff gets started.

That was right from the National Jersey Giant Club. You would think that the club would have posted the correct information.

Yes, the club has been inactive for a long time. Many have tried to join and get it going. The facts of the blues are errors; for some reason they have not removed it.

Kathy, the club is active. I will get the contact info up here as soon as I hear from our rep here in NJ. If there have been problems with people not hearing back from the national club, please PM me and I will pass their names along to someone who can find out what happened. Im the meantime, I will let them know they need to look into correcting the info on the breed history page.

Maria Hall herself has stated on this thread about it. Others have also attempted to join the club with no response. As far as I know it has been inactive for at least a year. Look at the website .... no show results and no changes for how long???? No officers names, no show dates, no anything!

Thanks, Kathy, I'll mention it to our rep. The JG Club pres came to our show last spring, in NJ. He had some great birds!

Well I have a pickle, I had Black Jersey Giants and this spring added 20 Black Australorp, now I can't tell who is who, does anyone have a idea on this? The chicks this fall they have produced are just beautifully colored, but can't tell them apart either.

Hi! The BJGs have yellow feet! (on the bottom)

Jen

Well, they are "supposed" to have yellow on the bottoms of their feet. The hatchery quality ones mostly do not, unfortunately.

If I recall correctly, the JG club president is Bobbi Porto's husband - is that correct?
