Hey everyone, first time poster here. I took the time to skim through about 120 pages of this thread and have really learned a lot of useful information.
I couldn't help but notice that hatchery birds are not very liked on this forum. I can see how some people may end up with poor quality birds from companies that care more about profits than quality of product. I ordered 10 black JG (5 pullets and 5 Roos) and 5 Black Star pullets from a hatchery in June. I have not had any problems or complaints. My birds are very healthy and growing fast.
So my question; the hatchery I ordered my chicks from was Murray McMurray, can I expect quality birds from this hatchery or should I sell off my Roos and keep my better looking hens and find a quality Roo?
