Kathyinmo I just got in from taking some pics of my young ones in the grow out pen They are 16 weeks today. They are really getting big the two cockerels are as tall as my full grown orpingtons here are just a few pics.
one of the pullets she looks black but is actually a very very dark blue Will post pics of the older guys later

OK ... I got some pictures ...
Look at the difference in the feet of the 2 roosters. What do you think about that, as far as the SOP?

The pic of the last rooster has the correct color for legs and feet If they are yellow on the bottom. The first rooster looks to have orange on his legs and feet or is that just the camera. Here is a pic of a young cockerel I sold it shows his leg color He was only 5-6 months old here but you can see the fgreenish slate color of his legs. I know someone who had a hen disqualified because it did not have yellow on the bottom of her feet. I have one hen that is beautiful but her feet are pinkish underneath she young I will see what happens. Katy is that a splash pullet I see she doesnt have the right color legs either.All my splash have a greenish slate colored shank with the yellow underneath the foot

Yes, I understand that they should have yellow on the bottoms of their feet. My question is .... what about the one roo here in the picture that has yellow coming up on the sides of his feet? The other one, does have yellow on the bottom of his feet. I just wonder how much yellow is tooooooo much yellow. Hmmm?

I am not sure of that I will ask Bobbi as she breeds them and shows them so she should know I can only go by Inday and what the judges looked for in him. I will let you know what she says Micki

katyinmo Talked with Bobbi Porto lst night she has the SOP and is going to look up what the standard is regarding feet and coloring. She thinks they should only be yellow on the bottom but is not sure I will let you know when she emails me the standard. Micki
