my jersey giants laid a pinkish brown egg the first 2 years, now they are just brown

do you have a pic of the egg in question? I thought my BJG was laying a medium brown egg with a plethora of dark brown speckles. Now I'm questioning that, with what everybody else is saying.

Here's mine: Amberlink to the left, Jersey Giant in the middle, Australorp on the right. The one on the right could be from the Barred Rock, I can't tell them apart. I know for sure on the Jersey Giant though, I steal it right after she lays it almost everyday. I made sure to check the bottoms of her feet when I stole it today just to be sure, lol. Definitely one the Jersey Giants. Yours may be laying the medium brown with speckles though!

I checked the bottoms of her feet, and my Cuckoo Marans, hatchery/feed store bird, has white/grey colored feet.

So, maybe you can figure out what you've got using foot and egg color!
