hi, i recently purchased about seven jersey giants with one bantam chick at my local farm store. It's been about a week they are in the pen but they are not eating very well, they roam about but they don't eat as well as some of my other chicks that i hatched before. They all seem healthy though, should i be concerned?

I'm not sure how old they are, but they have developed feathers on their wings and no more baby fuzz... maybe a couple of weeks?

I'm feeding them the game chick feed at 22% protein...

I'm not an expert, but why are you feeding them game chick feed? Do Jersey Giants require something different than regular chick starter? Are their crops full? A full crop and general good health would be your indicator if they're getting enough to eat. Also, do you have a postage scale or something you could weigh them in ounces to see if they're gaining? I don't know what a good growth rate would be but I imagine it would be easy enough to search and find out. Good luck!
