, Sorry I am having trouble getting the brain in gear right now, Do enjoy the sour cream and ? cheese based beef baked dish.
I'll have to look this up in the morning. Sounds real good to me.

Here's a pretty decent hint...

What is Garfield's favourite food!

As Lacy continues to shed out her puppy white hairs...she becomes more and more a richer red tan colour. I am starting to ponder if she is an Agouti a"y" / a "t" with e/e now. Her sire was a dark red mottled male...hmmm...wonder if he contributed one a"y" to Lacy. I always wanted to see what a dom red ACD with e/e would be like...maybe I am.

I got a series of pix of the pups enjoying the thicker ice we are getting now but service is spotty and that be that for now in regards to being able to post any more pics...sigh.

Later eh...

Heel low:

Thanks Scott...survived Halloween...yee haw!

OK, last ditch attempt for you to guess what we had...
idunno.gif

Well? What food is Garfield face down planted in??
hu.gif

Bwa ha ha...and now for a new one since I am hoping you figure it out...finally! Must be a brute for punishment giving out another "guess what I made?" thingy...
wink.png

Sliced and diced, cooked up so it may be added into a bread type product...then added to chicken soup base so it can be cooked...What did I make for part of Sunday dinner??
tongue.png

Another blur of a weekend whisked by...
big_smile.png

Got more power cables buried Rick on the tractor,

me on the end of a rake...got her done up nice.
cool.png

Veg garden bird building wiring strung out inside protective piping...not conducive to do wiring when it gets cold, nothing wants to move nice--end up kinked and yucky,
sickbyc.gif

factory spare engine outta the garage and on stand...

ton of sorting Rick has completed with garage, so he then moved fish, plants, we put one fountain away after cleaning it, re-routed yet more cords, even had breakfast in town (twice!) which was luxurious,
lol.png

ridge cap with drip edge and facia is completed on Parking Building roof,

Found two rat skeletons on sale to add to my hairy scary rat Halloween collection...
yippiechickie.gif

Dogs had a blast...we were out and about here all over the place...so they had lots and lots of fun.

Emmy loves ice...very much so!
gig.gif

I tipped this crystal ice goblet outta a small bucket so she could take off pieces at her leisure...she almost prefers the frozen water to fluid...funny gal.
tongue.png

So still no real sign of the winter white stuff to speak of...beauty day today, so off I go to clear out more pens and tidy up fer winter...he won't stay away forever and there shall be NO whining once he decides it is time...whee hee hee...

I forgot about Lasagna. Those are some nice looking Bell Peppers, yours?
Wiring and the cold do not play nice with each other.
Scott

YAH! Lasagne pie!
celebrate.gif

What did I make yesterday then...??? I am doing up some more and deep frying some tonight...
lol.png

No time for a greenhouse this year (can you imagine the pups putting up with that time taken away from them?) and that would be the only way one might get peppers here...frost every month of the year (which makes corn difficult to grow too without them cold climate, quick maturing kinds).

I grew green peppers in 2008, size of a golf ball if I recall properly.

Sep 19 2015

Only items I have sitting out (not put by) left from the harvest now are onions, taters and some carrots. A few silly (grown on the Man Porch) cherry tomatoes are turning red but I just tossed the dirt from those containers into the veg garden and what was left of the plants on the compost pile. We have had -12C already now and quite a few -10C's (10/14F).

I gave the girls some of the snap peas I had from the recipe above and boy they enjoyed them. I will have to see about buying these peas in the pods more often.
love.gif

Hauled the veg garden bench in from the garden...sigh...the two concrete pads are stuck fast to the ground...so no getting them today. Thankfully I hear plus ten this weekend coming up (50F) so that will be when I can pry them up and get them outta the way. We had rain a few days back and that helped to "cement" a few items down like glue. I know when Rick was bucketing up the gravel to bury cords...some of the gravel came off in huge raggy lumps. Frozen ground is immanent.

Well lunch is over and time to go get something else looked after.

So you'all better start guessing what this was the ingredients for...
idunno.gif

'Cause I already deep fried some for a dinner and a lunch...things are starting to pile up...get backed up and...
gig.gif

Bottle neck...bottlenecking pics of food...bring on the food pics...
droolin.gif

Made this on the second of Nov (marinated chicken deep fried with brown rice) along with what I "deep fried" from the above ingredients. It goes into a chook soup stock and you can deep fry them too...ever so delicious! Hee hee... there's those cold weather comfort foods showing up on the menus.

What did I make to add to lunch yesterday with these ingredients below??
hu.gif

What are these ingredients for?
lol.png

I heard a report that there is a one month waiting list on the go for anyone trying to get winter tires installed in Calgary on their vehicles....shucky darn, no snow here yet that would incite winter tires put on ... tee hee!

For all one knows, this is still like September weather here...wee hee hee...
wee.gif

After work yesterday, Rick cut up those long lengths of wood so we could move them before they froze into the ground.

Then he hung some heavy duty, special ordered tarps on the Parking Building...looking purdy snazzy!
celebrate.gif

Love how the tarps are green and go right along with the red, white and green colour theme here.

Lunch was so filling yesterday, we settled on a green salad for supper...stuff yer faces at lunch and even with the cold working weather, you still kinda felt full. Oh well...

Cleared out half the pheasant Cabin and moved the one pair of Red Goldens over yesterday. So pen cleaning continues as the weather continues to hold.

Exciting, today is Lacy's half a year old b-day. Will have to click some special pics of the old gal plus ensure they both have an extra special supper to celebrate marking this occasion. Emmy turns 6 months old on the tenth...another excuse to "pig out" on the good stuff.
tongue.png

Funny, dog dogs have been here 90 days as of today. Kinda strange to figure just three months has gone by...way, way too much fun been had, so I guess that explains it. Time flies.

Conversed with the breeder other day and she reports back that Emmy's full litter sister took "Baby in Group" which is very kewl!
cool.png

I am going to a dog show this weekend, decided not to take the girls. Rick and I, we feel they are just a tad too young and always the concern that even though both have had their kennel cough vacs (reg vacs and rabies too), there is never 100% risk free in regards to taking dogs to where groups of them are at. I took Makins to a dog show as a youngster (did the kennel cough vac and use to have to do a six week booster...did that also and waited four more weeks to ensure she had optimal coverage) and still sweet Makey Makes came down with kennel cough. Never killed her, yeh, but I was some plum angry I did the best I was able to protect her from that and it still happened! Then I got to learn about kennel cough moreso--that just like the human flu vaccine, dog kennel cough (Bordetella) has many strains and it mutates. So you can "kennel cough" vac all you want but if there is a version not in the vaccine at the dog show, you are likely to be crapola outta luck. Dogs are then at risk and can come down with this OTHER version. Sigh.

I guess we are just a tad too cautions fer now about the girls. Besides, there are shows in March coming up and I have time off from work then too. So maybe then we can "run silly around the ring a ding" and see how the girls do in conformation. I need to touch base with the dog show clan, been hmm...maybe a decade since I last entered dogs. Whole new crowd might be showing (see that there are two males and two female ACDs entered...not sure who that may be...could be someone I don't even know, eh). So yeh, I do know things have changed substantially since then--even what shows are happening. Some are no longer in existence and then there are new ones. So gonna get caught up to speed with that hobby. Pretty much like riding a bike, never forget just need to get back on and start peddling again.
lol.png

I am thankful to see there is still a CERF eye clinic held at the November show...same onthamologist too. Time ticks along and people retire...happy to see him there because he is one tough cookie when it comes to seriousness about the eye health in canines. I love that in a specialist. Know when you take yer dogs to him, he's one of the best of the best and you get straight up professional services. Price has more than doubled now for an eye certification...from $20 to $45 but expected. Getting up to speed in lots of things...

How do you know winter is on its way?

When the heated bird bath comes out...note in the background is Emmy and a lump of ice that was in one of the five gallon pails...I think Rick left some to top up the bath...but I dumped her and got fluid stuff instead.

So there are TWO passed out pups at my feet (beauty angels, eh!), & this then gives me a few moments to post some pics...
wink.png

Right rip roaring into puppy fun...

Hilarious good times!

A tired ACD is a GOOD ACD...
love.gif

Course I tried to get some pics of the 1/2 a year old Lacy...

"I'm HOW old today? Really--already???"

To no real avail! I got the shocked look of a lady finding out she was six months OLD today...and...

I got more refusals to really comply to a decent B-Day click...not only the CLOSED EYES look...but the tongue
tongue.gif
too...good GACK!
barnie.gif

That's fine...

I reassured Em that the day was not quite over and the 6 month special supper for Lacy a Loo was still a good to go endeavour!
