Hey Diva, the evil black butts are still lurking but not as bad as they were ... the crazy lady with the gigantic water pistol and broom appears to be keeping them at bay
I made up wonton filling...used the wrappers, got the soup stock boiling and dunked them in.
Then the next day, I made more wontons to have in the other half of what was left of the soup AND continued to use up all the wrappers making more wontons that I then deep fried.
I was deep frying the wontons first and then deep fried the marinated chicken in batter. So double duty on the frying oil. Wontons are easy peasy to fold and make but kind of tedious...so I set up a plate to fold and brush with water to wet the edges of the wrappers and sat with Rick while he watched TV.
Harnesses, leads, bells on neck for the sheep a deeps.
I use to braid up harnesses and such like that too...sit in the living room, visit with Rick and braid up a storm. This time I sat and made us food...Chinese food. Wontons!
Nov 2, 2015 - single serving of deep fried wontons, makes a great appetizer, Rick dips his in plum sauce...tastes great!
Nov 2, 2015 - rest of the wontons deep fried
Deep fried all the wontons left over, drained oil off and then stored them in the fridge. You may easily reheat them in the oven. Stays crispy and tasty too.
So this was lunch on the third...the top is the HAM FRIED RICE that I tried to get you guys to guess at what I was making fer lunch.
Nov 3, 2015 - lunch; last of deep fried chicken, wontons, and the ham fried rice.
Again, a Chinese dish. I thought for sure the RICE would clue you guys into guessing it right off.
So last night was leftover night...roast beef and baked potatoes became a sliced beef in onions and gravy, the bakers became hashbrowns, the wontons were just that and the ham fried rice was...gulp, ham fried rice. Today I have a clean slate and empty fridge to work off of. NO leftovers...new start.
So I stated I wanted to get a good pic of Lacy on her half a year B-Day yesterday...oh yah. Seems when you set yerself up for something like that...you gotta work at acquiring it.
Dogs were utterly NO HELP...I came home, Rick had run the snot outta them and the sun was in the midst of setting but funny how that light kinda makes for kinda neat photos too.
Neither one was an angel at all...
Blinky blink...NO SEE...see us close our eyes shut tight.
I felt very undermined...to say the least and at one point (next photo), down right SET UP!
"Click on this one haggy...I can go along ALL DAY with me eyes closed...follow my nose, that's where I goes! No need to see!"
Then we had a bout of hilarity...none of which are truly SERIOUS birthday memorabilia... Have a look see fer yerself. ACK!
Do puppy antics get any more hilarious??
This series of clicks has me roaring...with laughter! My objective is obviously not on their agenda at all...
The pup playing and the facial expressions...
Anyone else here a fan of the Kids in the Hall?? These two (above and below) remind me WAY too much of the skit for "I am crushing yer head!"
The way Lacy is showing her grimace...that she could have bitten Emmy but didn't...such self control, eh. But the threat is totally real. The communication that I could be chomping down ON some part of YOU...totally evident.
To which even Emmy BOW WOWED about...
but the GOOD ONE I wanted of Lace to mark her half a year existence, well that still eluded moi!
But persistence paid off...in both girls.
I got my shots of Emmy with EYES WIDE OPEN...
She has such a pretty ACD block head, eh!
And I got the shot I will now treasure of Lacy on her half a year old birthday...
Now this one was worth waiting for...
NOW that's the shot I want to remember...my Lacy the Lady...oh my!
Course y'all know within the next few seconds...it all went straight back to normal...
Well OK...NORMAL for here with two Australian Cattle Dog pups!!

I get the benefit of seeing the photos before and ones after the fact...
Here you go DD...here is the rest of the story!
Emmy ripping on by Lacy - putting some distance between them
Lacy & Emmy like to do the SNEAK ATTACK on each other...I would suspect it is a wild dog wolfy kinda dog play they do. Now remember, Rick ran them ragged before I got home, so they had already run their buns off but they adore playing with each other AFTER the human dog play time. They get to play as two dogs in play...doing things us humans would never EVER tolerate them doing to us, eh. It helps cool them off, lets them enjoy being two pups and I get to do alot of laughing at the antics--from a safe distance I get to observe all the bitey bites AND ensure neither one gets too carried away and is mean to the t'other.
After I got to click the cute photo of Lacy...the dogs continued with their one-on-one play time...
They like playing the dog ATTACK game...which starts with the slow and stealthy crouching advance...the excitement builds with each slow, slow advancing step forward.
Note you can see Emmy just on the right coming into the line of sight.
Lacy is the stealth slow walker, but Emmy is charging her at this point...full tilt into the lion's jaws.
The ninja leap is from Emmy bouncing off Lacy's head fulla teethies...note Lacy is biting Emmy's chest so her leap was assisted somewhat by bouncing off Lacy's jaws...along with the plain fact that Emmy was in a full puppy charge, so she is going forward, and by using her back legs, now she is taking that momentum and using it to go upwards.
SPROING!
But Lacy is not quite done the whole attack...Emmy gets a savage toothy attempt to BITE YER BUTT!!!
Tuck and run...tuck yer butt and RUN AWAY Emmest--RUN & TUCK!!!
So does that answer yer query in before and after silly times photographic evidence then?

Hey now...jest wanted to say thanks to all the loyal fans here. I don't usually pay much attention to views but thread is over 1,500 posts and just about at 20,000 views.
Who knew it would go like that beginning on July 30, 2014. So thank you!
I expected this thread to fizzle out and die based on all the silliness that goes down here in Pear-A-Dice...much appreciated and surprising, eh.
I may not say much but I still read every post and thoroughly enjoy them … a colleague was telling me that now he has purchased his own property he is thinking of buying an ACD .. I found myself telling him about my friend in Canada who imported two … isn’t it amazing to think that while you were probably sleeping, you were influencing the conversation of two people over 14,000kms away?!
I love the honesty, I love the silliness, I love the obviously wonderful relationship you and Rick have and of course, I love Emmy and Lacy, they are adorable! I am in awe of all you and Rick have achieved … the Rat Ranch is beautiful as are your birds.

I am always checking to see if there are updates on here. Sometimes I just have enough time to read and have to reply later. But, I HAVE to visit this one first, no matter how many other threads are calling me.
Love the silliness, we all need that to get through this thing called "Life," I also love the factual information - some of which is actually retained by my brain. Can't get over how much work you and Rick are able to accomplish in a day, then repeat the next day and the next. I would be flat out on bedrest. Also so glad the puppers are acting out at your place and not mine. It's much easier to enjoy with many, many miles between us. In a few more years will the girls be settled down enough to just want you to throw their ball.?" Didn't think so.... Love you guys
