Chapter 8

“Where are we,” Jet asked Orion when she woke up. It was very cold, and she was worried.
“We’re in the middle of the mountains,” he replied as a chilly wind blew in his face. He cringed and turned his head away from it.
“Can we go back,” Jet asked. “My nose is hurting.”
“No, we can’t,” Orion replied solemnly as he shouted over the loud wind. “Endure it! We need to keep going!”
“Why can’t we just go around them,” Jet shouted over the wind.
“They extended across the grassland for miles,” he shouted.
“Let’s walk around them then,” Jet shouted.
“It’s too late,” he shouted. “It would take just as much energy to go back as it would if we just finished walking across.” Jet then quieted down.

“Get on in there, Delilah,” the farmer said gently to Stormy, trying to persuade her into going into the cat crate.
“IT’S STORMY YOU MORON,” she screamed, but the farmer only heard loud clucks.
“Come on now, the show’s in 3 hours,” he said. “If we want to be on time, we have to get in the crate,”
“Idiot,” she muttered, still fighting. “Does he honestly think I’m that stupid? How demeaning.”
“There ye go,” he said as he shoved her into the crate. He took her crate, loaded it in the back of his truck, started it, and drove away.

I'll finish later! I'm sort of busy right now!
