Jinx is one of my survivors from a predator attack that widdled my flock down from 10 to 3.

She and Bob are now 5 months, Bob my mille fleur bearded d'uccle bantam I know is a boy and have known since he was very small, he's a sweetie though and has started crowing for a few weeks now. Jinx I always thought was a girl, (they were hatched at the same time by me) she is a Buff Brahma bantam, always been kind of feisty and a little skiddish. but they all were in the hatch of 5 that I had (they thought Josie my light Brahma was their mom she was a month old when they hatched and all were inside with me)

Ok sorry anyway. I went out this morning to feed them and such. Bob will sometimes crow.. sometimes not. he likes to come over and say hi to me.
I was staring right at him and I hear a crow and it sounded different.. well it didn't come out of his mouth and Jinx was standing right next to him, my only other hen is Sally who've i've had for over 3 years.
I stood there waiting and waiting.. nothing I start to walk away and there it is again.

I always thought Jinx was a girl her comb never got big, but now i see she doesn't have a single comb like i though

so here she is.. roo you think?

Thanks all, I was like 99% sure after this morning he was a roo. i was 100% sure he was a girl before today lol
I ordered 6 assorted bantam eggs last year to hatch, 5 of the 6 hatched, so I guess 3 of those 5 were roo's my Mottled Cochin was a roo too.

ooh what handsome roo you have.. and the look of the last pic on that lovely lady cracks me up

Jinx is obviously a male lol
Should be obvious around 8weeks

And Bob is not a D'Uccle
He is a Booted Bantam A.K.A Sablepoot because he does not have a beard.

Ya know i think I knew that too lol. i did have a all white bearded d'uccle and he turned out to be a jerk..
thanks. I would of kept saying the wrong breed I called my Bantams batmans for the longest time lol
