I don't know exactly. It could be a meat spot.
What color egg were you candling when you saw it? My darker brown eggs make it look like a dark spot.

Here is the lightest egg in color & black & white.

I can see the beginnings of something!


This is the next lightest. There is a weird line moving around inside with the yolk. It moves when I turn the egg. Any ideas?

I'm going to be optimistic and say those are tiny embryos. One of my start-of-the-seventh-day eggs has the embryo pretty clearly. I'll bet yours will be the same on Monday.

Will it grow with a meat spot? Not taking anything out til day 7 at least anyway.

The top egg has an embryo, bottom one is probably nonviable but keep it for now.
