Joined to find advice/tips on getting a necklace out of my chickens insides :(

Yeah this is our only chicken and is a pet to us. She listens and even runs to us. We’ve bonded a lot with her and I can’t imagine killing her. We already lost her sister a year or two ago. They were still little too. It affected me a lot, can’t imagine how bad this one will hurt.
I really hope she recovers. That's awesome that she is such a great pet to you!

I have pet eggers in one coop. We take some of the eggers for walks, and they all have names, and we discuss all their social dramas. I've promised my kids they can live out their natural lives, laying or not. But in the other coops, I have eggers and meat birds who are livestock. They are not pets, do not have names, and will be replaced/eaten as needed. If they're particularly personable, they might join the pet coop at some point. But in order to be sustainable, or at least pay for their upkeep, I have to be able to eat some of them and keep hens that produce eggs.

It was a thick cord out of my curtains. Not just a string. The size of a drawstring for pants or a winter coat and quite a bit of it. I was fortunate that it was not metal. It took the full 48 hours of every two hours administering it for it to finally pass. Good Luck with your Chicken. I do know how you feel as my Ducks are like family to me also.
I also think of it as like it’s easier to pass for a cat and it would most likely survive surgery. A chicken is quite difficult, they’re very sensitive animals and not many ppl understand them. You got very lucky it came out even tho it was very long ago. I’m happy for you on it coming out. I’m sure the relief you felt was no joke.

Pink and tiny doesn't help know what it is. Sounds like a laxative and a diuretic from what you are saying.
Is the fluid in her abdomen something that was an issue before the necklace?
Well the pills I currently have it’s called Furosemide 12.5mg Tablets and there’s a pink liquid it starts with a C it’s in my room upstairs. She has to take the liquid every 4 hours and the pill every 12 (half of the pill)

Thank you so much. Me personally I can’t imagine killing and eating, but I respect those who do it. You can’t trust the markets nowadays and not just that but it’s expensive now too, eggs, meat, chicken, break, and water where im at woukd already be $100 or more

Okay perfect, I could also tell you the pink liquid. I know it starts with a C. I haven’t gone up to get it because I’m currently watching her
I would get it soon as it may be a complement to the Furosemide. as for fiber I'm not sure of the best but regular layer chicken feed certainly has some and most likely enough.
