....Hi all! Looking for ways to deter a very determined coopers hawk. We're down 5 birds in the last 3 weeks. I have read quite a few of the threads, but I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan

You may have to pen your birds in a covered run for a while to discouraged the hawk.

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses! Hawks are lovely, but they can be terrible for chicken owners. Have a look at this section:

Hi there. I just moved to Ortonville Mi. Do you know what the city ordinances are here? or where to find them? I would like to start a chicken coop in the back yard and I need info... sorry that I don't know anything about hawks. :{ I wil let you know if I find out!
