Jubilee Orpington 3 1/2 months old

Doesn't look at all like my 2 yr old Jubilee Orpington. How about a Golden Cuckoo Marans female?
I will look that up. The parents were on property. Thank you, I will ask if they had those. Several chicks were in the same pen.
Right. So this is a Beilefelder.
The Beilefelders are darker.

Now the second one is a jubilee Orpington. Are those the photos of your birds??

Yes, they are

Yes, they are the three that followed us home on April 28. They were three weeks old at the time. Since German Beilefelder are auto-sexting, the little girl had the stripes on her head and "eyeliner".

The lighter one is different. From pictures I have seen online there are some Beilefelders that are lighter in color. That one is quite a bit larger and shaped a bit differently.

Our babies looked like this when we brought them home.

That’s a boy and not a Jubilee Orpington. The second one in those three photos looks like a Jubilee Orpington, none of the rest do. It’s not just a matter of light and dark - the pattern is totally different.

Bielefelders lay brown eggs. The difference in appearance is due to the genders. They're an autosexing breed. Yours is a Bielefelder cockerel and at three weeks old, the breeder probably knew that too. It is not a Golden Cuckoo Marans, the coloring is wrong and they have pink skin
