Am I the only one who has candled so far?

I candled today ... CRAZY!

Never done this before and was amazed to see the veining, and the little fetus starting as a blob. In all 12!

Now Nervous and Excited!

I don't know what color our eggs are but they say the darker the egg or more spots it has the more likely you aren't to see veins but just growth mass. All my eggs are dark and all i see is growth mass no veins so it means their growing you just can't see veins like you can in white eggs. Thats what people told me on here at least this is my first hatch also.

yea i have a few spotty eggs...but the MFD eggs are all white tho

oh wow!!! Replaced the battery in my dieing flashlight tonight and candel'd the remaining 6 i didn't do the other night and bam!!!!! Day 10 and all 6 were MOVEING on the inside!!!!!! How exciting!!!!!...now i can't wait to do the other 5. Wow...it just blows me off my feet...how something so simple can remind me of how god's creatures on our planet are nothing short of amazing.

edit:.... How long is too long to take to candel your egg's?? I believe i had the 6 i candeld out for about 6 to 7 minuets. You don't think i could of hurt them could i ????

Your Fine. 6 -7 min is not very long.
When a hen sits on her eggs... she does get off them periodical.

I got 1 chicken egg that probably will hatch about the 1st july. Then i got 6 other chicken eggs that will hatch about 5th july.
It´s the first time i hatch chicken eggs.
The first egg is mine (refrigerator egg, shop bought) and the 6 others i hatch for someone else but she only want 3 so if all 6 eggs hatch i probably get to keep the extras^^.
All candled and alive so far.
Always wanted to get chickens so now is my chanse.
