Well I peeled the rest of the membrane off, no bleeding. It looks like its belly (for lack of what else to call it) is swollen. There was no yolk outside the body. I rewrapped the chick back in the warm washcloth.
It has made it out on its own, but falls over backwards (Ive had 2 chicks do this, both have been ok). And I know if a chick is helped in hatching, it seems to take them longer to get up and moving.
So I guess we are still at a 50/50 chance right now.
Hoping to get up tomorrow and find the baby up and walking!!!
