They're on day 8 and they're a random batch... Orpingtons (the big eggs!) and bantam d'uccle, sarama and some more silkies!

So far only Pekin ducks. But.... You never know with me!!! Probably add some silkies & orps...

yep we love pics! I couldn't help myself, I candeled again a few min ago when I turned the eggs. I just love watchin the little squiggles! One things for sure my fertility in the silkie pen is great

Just candled my 2(!) black ams and 1 has pipped internally!!! Ramping up humidity now!!
Sure hope they both hatch!! (Eta) especially since I started with 24...

I was thinking the same thing! LOL
I wish I had a broody, I wouldn't have to go through all this trouble. The nightmares are driving me crazy

Fingers crossed for you! I started with 7 (3 copper marans from my neighbor's broody and the 4 silkies), only 2 of the silkies made it to the 2nd candling, then one by one they gave up. The last CM made it to day 19 then just stopped moving. I eggtopsied it and he was fully developed and ready... idk what happened. But I have "Ava" (my youngest named her), so I'm happy

Welp my mama turkey is doing awesome with my BBSO eggs.I'm proud of her,and I'm even more proud of me for not messing with them even to candle lol. Ill candle on day 18 and put the good ones in the bator to hatch
