July Hatch-a-long

[5 Acre Rooster]

Sometimes I am NOT at fault for filling bator. Other day either neighbor or road crew graded road and chased a guinea hen of her 30ish eggs. She didn't go back so I tossed em in bator. As it sits I am at about 50 keets now. And now almost that many eggs for hatching in next month. Good thing is most of my hens are MIA and I don't think I'll find the nest this time.

Adding 3 dzish project eggs to bator to catch hatch date with ducklings (I hope) and another 8 rouens cuz waddles won't sit. And who says its addictive. I can stop any time I want. As long as my birds don't lay any eggs....

Gotta count some days out now for calender. ANyone in MO interested in Keets? LOL

I candled my 24 Black Ams last night... I have no idea what day I'm on... I know most of you will say 'What??' But i've had lots of family stuff and work stuff so I don't even know what day it is! Ok so, i have 6 left...

But of the 6 only 1 is iffy!

Candled day 7- looks like I only have 1 (possibly 2, but I doubt it). :/

This one is clear, right? Should I toss it?

I saw movement in this one tonight (I think- are my eyes playing tricks on me?)

As of now yes 1 looks clear but...

Hello all my hatching BUDDIES!!! LOL
I set 12 Gold Laced Brahmas yesterday. These were eggs I had won on a facebook contest! I need to candle today and see what the aircells look like. My new incubator will get fired up this weekend, so I will be switching any eggs I have going, over to it. Wanna see a picture???


The hatch goes on in the doors at the bottom, then for hatch the eggs get moved to the drawers. I have 2 big windows where I can sit and stare at them....lol

We have coturnix quail eggs due on the 3rd. About 78 can't wait to see how many hatch.

As of now yes 1 looks clear but...

Thanks she is an awesome broody. She hatched turkeys and chickens for me last year and has already hatched out turkeys, chickens and peachicks for me this year. I trust her more than a bator with these eggs
