July Hatch-a-long

I will contact the breeder when the hatch is done. Perhaps things went sour with the rooster near the time these eggs were laid. I dunno. Will see what she has to say next week. I checked my Malines under the other 2 broodies though. Looking good! Another 8 days for them. The BLRW were just a bonus to appease my first broody. :)

Day 18 and day 19 tommorow :) getting nervous no sign of pips yet but 5 of the 7 I candled looked to have formed correctly but they are dark shelled and I have seen no sign of movement - is this OK? Fingers crossed its all about Tuesday and Wednesday night - so excited but need to know about the movements :)

This is the same place we are. I am super anxious for some pips, but I don't want an early hatch. Ugh! This is nerve wracking sometimes. Especially when I have my first Polish from my own breeding in the incubator along with my EE/Polish project. :he

anxious is not even close to it, day 20 for me and still nothing all looked good on lockdown so i guess its just timing and paitiance

Peeps coming from eggs now, no pips yet showing but still shaking around. Getting close, so much suspense!

Any word on #4 heidigran?
yeeeeee

One of the eggs under Marlena my BO hatched this afternoon. It is adorable, of course.

I moved her and her remaining eggs and her baby to a different coop because of one of my other hens. The other 4 hadn't pipped that I could see. This was just day 19.

Let me know how it turns out. I would feel just awful if I gave someone bad eggs, and eggs that were infertile, I am sure she would definitely want to reconcile the situation. :) Glad to see that your others are doing good!

I just noticed, one of my chicks that just hatched has the same exact pattern on her body as the one pictured in your avatar! and the only difference is the legs, the legs are black and the middle and back toes are that pink color. Can you show me what that looks like as an adult?! I was already planning on keeping her
