July Hatch-A-Long

I am on day 20 of a dozen shipped Salmon Faverolle eggs. 6 made it to lockdown. Today one hatched out and one more pipped.

OMG... I just did it... I couldn't stop myself... I ordered 2 dozen Serama eggs from Castle Delight! They are shipped... I know, I just mentioned how I vowed not to buy shipped eggs... but they are only shipped from a couple hours away so I think it will be okay. I hear she packs her eggs really well. They are my birthday present to myself : ) I am crazy excited! I am just dying to have a flock of Seramas. I may need to check out the incubators anonymous thread though... maybe there is a meeting near me ; )

Good to know I'm not alone! I had been wanting to get them for a while, but finally let myself do it. I did close my eyes as I hit the "submit" button. It may be a little too easy to buy eggs online ; )

Well, hopefully it wasn't for too long and the eggs didn't heat up too much! Fortunately you are close to the end so you won't have to wait too long. Did you candle any and see how they are doing?

Not yet. By the time I thought about it last night I was super comfy in my bed half asleep lol. I'll check on them tonight. At least, I'll check the lighter shelled eggs.

2 of my 6 Salmon Faverolles that made it to lockdown (out of 12 shipped).

The other 4 haven't pipped yet but these guys were all over the place rolling the other eggs around. I hope they're okay!

Any way one of my other broodies eggs have started hatching! There will be many pics soon! There are 2/6 already hatched!

My broody turkeys eggs when I candeled had all died. I had 7 in incubator that were doing well. So I took and gave 3 of them to her as I took her eggs whilevshe was off nest and she came back and set on empty nest.

Those eggs go in lockdown tues and hopefully hatch fri.
