If they are from the same batch you got from me with the quail, & the Ameraucana mix, Then they are Cochins (bantams)

Sure is. The others were
1-2 Partridge Silkie
3-6 Iowa Blue
7-8 Heritage Rhode Island Red

I was hoping you and Babymakes6 would have a better hatch.

Is that what you thought Peggy?

Ok I give. I cant believe it, I have never hatched orange chicks! Sorry I haven't been on lately trouble at home. I would love to see pics as they grow.

Mrheinz77 I hatched 2 blue silkies, one yellow chick, one black chick and one oddly colored chick, is it possibly an iowa blue? Its yellow and like five other colors. Well that might be an exaggeration but its lots of colors. The guinea eggs are about 50/50 on developement. I have to put some in lockdown tonight due to the early hatching.

Ia Blues are usually black with a light chest. Was the multi colored maybe from the EE egg? I've had some like that from the EE and from my Splash hen.

I was at the Dr most of the day with my broken toe. I get to see a specialist tomorrow to see if I need a pin put in it. Yes, 3 1/2 weeks later I went to the Dr. When I got home I had 2 Guineas hatch in the turner early. Woops.

I didn't see what color egg it hatched from but it was either light brown or white/very light blue. It looked white to me. I hatched out egg numbers 3,4,6 and 8. Number 5 never hatched. I went to put the eggs in lockdown darned things are already pipped. 3 of them. 2 I know are guineas and one that looks white to me and huge. I got your eggs all mixed up with the stuff going on here. Only one of the last 6 guinea eggs you sent developed. I almost put it in the hatcher and then I realized it wasn't supposed to be. The ones in there now are 10 and 11 and number 8 from the set sent with the six guinea eggs.

I went to the weekly auction today in springville and took a bunch of babies and teenage roos. I think I made about $30 will know on friday. I managed to not bring home any new birds! Yeah me! I told my fiance I didn't buy any birds and he goes I sense a but in there. Lol. I bought a baby piglet. She is so cute. Technically she was free. She cost me $30. She is pink with black spots. Now to figure out how to care for a pig. It is the one thing I have no idea about. I bought her pig food but she doesn't seem to want it. She ate it in the car so I didn't buy milk replacer. Anyone with ideas? I will try to get pics of everything tomorrow.

My EE hen is 5 or 6 years old and has been laying since Feb so her eggs are light. I confuse her eggs with the duck eggs at times. They are darker in the spring. I'll have to check those numbers tomorrow. I think with the last set of Guineas I included one egg from the Splash hen and an EE. Now who the daddy is I have no idea. Sounds like we need Jerry Springer to solve this.

Well I hope they are pullets,I will hang on to them as long as I can if they are roos.So you can see what they look like grown up.
I hope your proublems at home work out and as for the piglet better get heavy duty escape proof fencing as that is what pigs like to do escape.
