July Mystery Egg Swap . . Shipping Deadline is TODAY!!

Well I had 2 hatch from one batch that said they came from ohio. There where 6 big brown eggs and 6 bantam eggs.. 2 of the brown
ones hatched.. can you tell me what they are????

I didnt have any luck yet from the other batch from ohio if that was really where they came from with 1 2 and 3 marked on them.

They are Blue Orpingtons.

The small ones were Silkies-I threw them in as extras because they had sketchy fertility. Glad you got a couple to hatch-my rooster was a beautiful splash from corancher, and my hen that was laying is black. The rooster has since met his end, due to becoming aggressive toward me-(the one who hatched/raised/fed him) only! His son is a sweetie, though.

My black hen is an excellent broody and mama!

By the way-didn't you recognize the box they came in? It was marked "Boomerang!"

I unpacked it and repacked it with my eggs to send right back to you!

What were the ones you sent me? None hatched-even though 6 developed! I cracked a couple open, and thought they looked like Turkens, but wasn't sure.

My eggs from Mr. Heinz only had one develop-#8 was scrambled. #6 developed, pipped internally, and died.

Hey mrheinz77, did you ever happen to look up what my eggs were I only needed to know on one egg from each hatch. One has an extra toe but isn't silkie, do you have a cross breed or did a silkie mate the hen? Just wondering cause I tend to like ee/silkie crosses and it will definitely be staying if thats the case, well as long as its a girl. Of course if its a boy then I would have a trio of silkie/ee's, hmmmm.

What type of comb does it have? I introduced a new roo with a huge rose comb that is a silkie cross. Also some of my pullets are 2nd generation silkie crosses. I know that #8 in the second batch (huge egg) was my EE that is 4 or 5 yrs old that looks like a NH Red. #7 was my splash hen. I can't find where I wrote the first batch down. I know if it was black it was Ia Blue or Ia Blue cross. You also had Silkie, EE, and from my Splash hen in that batch. If it was Ia Blue Cross it would be crossed with a true BBS Ameraucana.

Yes I did and thought it was funny my po guy got a kick out of it also.. One hatched was blue and one hatched was black. They where nn I sent.. darn shame
you didnt get any to make it.

It may look black, but it will be dark blue as it grows.

The eggs you sent were in perfect shape-and 6 made it to lockdown! I was afraid they were NN, so I am not too upset they didn't hatch!
