Jumbo Coturnix Quail - Learn Me A Few Things

Yeah... I have the auto-turner for the LG, and it has little rings in the bottom of the cups that hold even bobwhite or button quail without losing them.

I don't even worry about securing them.
Now, when I did 100 coturnix eggs, I used one of the pulp-fiber cartons for quail eggs that holds 50 eggs, and hubby made a 2-tiered rack that holds two of the cartons, and I just tip the whole thing from side to side instead of hand turning them. But that's how they say to do button eggs... gently lay the palm of your hand flat on them and roll them around.

I bought 80 quail eggs. I hand turned once a day and got about 85% hatch. I got really good at egg turning.

The egg cartons I ship my quail eggs in would WORK BEAUTIFULLY! Also your order went out today! Also you pronounce it just like I said...

I hand turned my first two batches of quail. The batches after that came with quail sized pulp trays so I used them in the Sportsman and tilted the trays. Works fine and my last batch of 115 eggs 91-93 hatched using this method.

Meal worms are super easy to raise! And cheap to produce. I think you will have a lot of fun with the quail and find it rewarding. If I wasn't so addicted to chickens and ducks too I would probably have nothing but quail.
