My jumbos are 30 days old today and when I was out taking care of them this evening two of the boys already are crowing. Is that normal this early?

Mine were "trying" to crow at around 3 weeks of age. I thought it was pretty early. Then the males were ale to really crow at around 4-5 weeks of age. So i say yes it is normal for them to be crowing already. All Quail are different some will start early some will start late. Hope it Helps!

The first time I hear it I thought my ears were playing tricks and that it was one of the roos in the breeder pens behind me. So, I sat down there in front of them and just waited. It wasn't long before one them stuck his little chest out, lifted his head and crowed. It's like they are just SO "cocky" when they do that. LOL
