June 2021 Hatch - A - Long

I had a duck egg with a crack that hatched recently, it was cracked on day 8 though.

She cracked this one when it was still day 1. The membrane was still intact, but I’m still surprised the egg is still going.

I just got an email that my hatching eggs just shipped! 12 BLRW from a really good breeder. First time for my family and I to hatch eggs in an incubator. Excited about the process and really hopeful to get at a handful to hatch!

3 chicks I hatched and 2 RIR bought are all together. This pic they look a bit shy, seconds later, they were all happy eating their food and gently talking to each other. RIR are named Mary- the dark chick, and Rhoda, The other chicks are Eysis, Dandy and Dezel.

Fun fact, when the power trips, the janoel 18 will go back to factory temperature of "38°C" (which, when using individual thermometers is 40°C) instead of the adjusted temp I set at. BUT I guess this is why I did a test batch. Was still movement in the 3 eggs I could see in so fingers crossed. Day 18

Mine have hatched but had to share I think I got 2 frizzles and I'm in love with them. Do you guys agree?
