I have Netherland dwarfs and I honestly do not recomend them for children under 8 years old, they can be snotty little brats and young kids tend to get too sliced up by those tiny nails.
For the boys first rabbit I would definately suggest wither a Mini Rex or a Velvet Lion( mini rex/ lionhead cross)

I wanted one Silkie and one Polish and ended up with one of each color

I came to the last swap at TSC wanted to introduce myself but wasnt sure who was who. Maybe I will bring my great dane so you all can spot me!

I promised my husband I wouldn't buy anymore chickens but (here is the but) if anyone has a silkie or brahma older pullet....
