Is there a thread for the Hampton Falls one yet? Are most of you going to that too?

Ahhhhh I brought 7 chicks/pullets to the swap.....sold or traded all 7

Why yes, it is! early too...I'm still waiting and he/she is still at it.
I'll keep you updated...
I saw Gypsy's, they look kind of plain at first.

Their like the ugly duckling story, plain at first and grow into big beautiful birds. You saw my male he is far from plain

Oh I know, I was just surprised at how 'ordinary' they looked, but I imagine that's for the chick's protection, F3...

Good to see everyone today! Even if I felt, and looked, totally grubby. Thankfully DH has agreed to help me wash my hair tonight

This cast thing is getting old really fast! I won't go into the other factors that are keeping me from washing my own hair, just suffice it to say that DH helping me is the only option right now.

I got a nice spot right between two very good friends so it was really nice since I can't go visit too much on the crutches. Not sure if Gypsy purposely saved the spot for me, if so, Thank you!

tellynpeep, Thank you soooo much for Mr. Red!

Somehow I go to these swaps and always end up with something I wasn't actually looking for when I got there! Today it was tellynpeep's red Frizzle rooster, and he is a total sweetheart. Which BTW DH was only a little bit upset about. Annoyed is the best word I suppose. I think he has gotten to this point with the chickens

He can't fathom why I need a rooster to go with my Silkie hen. The answer being that I don't, but I WANT a Frizzle rooster to breed with my Silkie hen

He just doesn't understand the addiction, but I think he is starting to realize that it is futile to resist me. I've always thought that Frizzles were super cute and Mr. Red sure is that!

Oh, and the orange marmalade, I cannot wait to try it! I will leave it at that

Thanks to those of you that took home some of my pullets and hatching eggs.

I went home with 4 cockerels, 1 straight run, and one pullet still in my cage. Here's to hoping some of them will go at the Keene swap!!!!! See you all on the Keene thread!

Resistance is futile! We chicken lovers must make our DHs understand this! Or not...just let us do it:smack:smack

I repeat, It Makes Us Happy!!!!

LOL, thanks Val for the pretty chicks~and those spaces were saved especially for you & Sue...I kept asking where IS she!!

You looked fine;)

I stopped by the swap today after work around 1:30 to drop some eggs off for Shay. I wasn't going to buy any more chicks. I almost made it. I was sitting in my car getting ready to drive off and said this isn't right and got back out of the car and bought two WHite Showgirls and a WCB Polish from Chick Magnet. They were very hungry and thirsty when I got home and they are now all stretch out sleeping. They had a long day but are doing great. Thanks Chick Magnet.

Any one know what breed this chick might be?? It has partially feather feet and is 6wks in the picture....Pullet??

looks like my Plym rock silkie cross. did you get it today at the swap?

i survived getting out of this swap without any new birds and selling off most of my little chickies! dh is happy there are less of them, but he was a little miffed that i got some eggs to hatch. told him i'm trying to see if Sweetie will try and hatch them out for me.

i was sooo tempted to get one of those mini rex bunnies. maybe in the future.
