Good to see everyone today! Even if I felt, and looked, totally grubby. Thankfully DH has agreed to help me wash my hair tonight
This cast thing is getting old really fast! I won't go into the other factors that are keeping me from washing my own hair, just suffice it to say that DH helping me is the only option right now.
I got a nice spot right between two very good friends so it was really nice since I can't go visit too much on the crutches. Not sure if Gypsy purposely saved the spot for me, if so, Thank you!
tellynpeep, Thank you soooo much for Mr. Red!
Somehow I go to these swaps and always end up with something I wasn't actually looking for when I got there! Today it was tellynpeep's red Frizzle rooster, and he is a total sweetheart. Which BTW DH was only a little bit upset about. Annoyed is the best word I suppose. I think he has gotten to this point with the chickens
He can't fathom why I need a rooster to go with my Silkie hen. The answer being that I don't, but I WANT a Frizzle rooster to breed with my Silkie hen
He just doesn't understand the addiction, but I think he is starting to realize that it is futile to resist me. I've always thought that Frizzles were super cute and Mr. Red sure is that!
Oh, and the orange marmalade, I cannot wait to try it! I will leave it at that
Thanks to those of you that took home some of my pullets and hatching eggs.
I went home with 4 cockerels, 1 straight run, and one pullet still in my cage. Here's to hoping some of them will go at the Keene swap!!!!! See you all on the Keene thread!
