Warnng very pic heavy
I finally have pics of my babies. Sorry it took so long to post them. They will go from hatching to now. I got the first 3 from Lockedharts and the little black old english bantam from bellisamo. The two last ones are my mutts, They are mixed with a Jersey Giant hen and Domonique roo and the other must have had a midnight visitor. I don't have a black roo and the hen is red. Maybe it's part Buzzare from the way he acts. It is definately a roo,(the black one of mine)
Right after they hatched from lockedharts
Cochin Bantam Splash and Lavender Orphington from lockedharts
Mix from Lockedharts
Here is all 3, 24 hours old from Lockedharts. Very nice and healthy chicks.
Black Old English Bantam from Bellisamo
My mix from Jersey Giant hen and Domonique roo, The ones from my Dom roo always seem to turn out to be roos also and beautiful ones at that.
Here is an older one from the same roo but a Silver laced Wydonette hen. The red one is from my RIR roo and red sex link hen. These are older ones of course you can tell from the pics.
This one is the one with the mystery daddy. The hen is the Jersey Giant.
Ok, now the Quail. I only had 3 hatch and they all died but heres a pic of the first 2. They all looked the same but 1 was slightly bigger. I don't know what went wrong. They wouldn't eat or drink and whre just crazy. They didn't stop running around and chirping until they where too weak to do it anymore.
I have one from Magsrags that I was mistaken and thought neede help. I stepped in to early. It hadn't absorbed the yolk completely. There is just a tiny bit left. I didn't detach it from the egg and wrapped it in a moist papertowel and put back in the bator. I really hope I didn't kill it. It is just what I was wanting from her mix of Sikie/Aracuna. A solid black one. I'll keep it moist. It shouldnt take more than a day becaue there was just about an eraser amount of yolk there. The eraser on the end of a pencil. If that much.
She did send me more since 5 out of the 6 I got where infertile. But all life is precious and should be preserved so I will do what I can to help it. I'll keep you all posted.
None of the Turkey eggs I got where fertile. All yolks where in tact. When I did the egtopsy they looked as if I could just fry them up righ then. They just wasn't fertile to begin with. There where 8 of those. I won't say where I got those.
