I bought my first chickens as started hens that laid their first week with me.

Then I asked a friend to incubate some eggs for me. Instead she loaned me one of her incubators, which I ended up buying. And the rest is history.

yeah We visited a farm because mom was looking for a horse. Well I seen this big old hen walk by with some chicks. I caught one up and just so happen to have a little naked neck. Ahh I fell in love with it. So I took it home with me. It ended up being a rooster I call Houdie. He could get out of everything. LOL I lost all my pictures of houdie but I ahve pictures of his son Dine

I received eggs in the mail today. I'm not sure if they are from this swap, or the facebook swap?????? They were in excellent condition. Eggs were marked as WEL and Blk/Lav. I'm guessing those are Orps? Yahoo!

They came from Ohio!!!

Those eggs came from me! And thank you for the wonderful comment! I forgot to put a note in the box on what the eggs was. BLK LAV is Black Lavender Orpington Split and WEL is Welsummer. There is 8 eights total and they all made it ok?
