JUNE HATCH-A-LONG come join in

What day are the eggs on, Day 21? You are very patient, that would drive me crazy not being able to see them. Happy to hear that they must have hatched, or are they chirping from the egg; some eggs are very vocal. Happy hatching! Please post pics if possible.

Has anyone successfuly adapted their sportsman incubator to have a window, if so how was it done without creating a heat loss problem? That's my question! Maybe do a search on that to see if there are any posts with comments, just in case it could be done for your next hatch.

I opened it yesterday evening and got 29 chicks and there were more hatching. I hope I didn't kill the ones that were coming out. But I am glad I did open it because the ones that hatched where piled up in the front squishing the ones under them.

There's 13 BO, 8 RIRs, 5 SS, and 3 Buff Brahmas. They are so cute.

Here are some pictures:

I have two that are pipping! (Is that the term?) I only have 5 "Olive eggers" but I have been so busy, I have not had much time to worry about them. I count tomorrow as day 21. I guess it could take some time to hatch. Is that right?

Well I just got home from work and decided to take the incubator out side for some fresh air before setting another clutch of eggs probably tomorrow or Thursday....so in other words....HERE I GO AGAIN...LOL

My eggs are set to hatch on June 13th. We have been out of town and havn't been able to candle them. There are 18 Cuckoo Maran eggs. How many do you think will hatch? The temp and humidity have both been good and steady. This is my first hatch so any tips or advice? Thanks and Congradulations to everyone who have had successfull hatches.

yoker: Oh, so that's a sportsman. Congrats on your wonderful hatch & any still hatching. Thanks for the pics.

D'Angelo N Va.: Looking forward to what you'll hatch next. You've come a long way in a short time.

My incubator is on pause for a while, so I'll live vicariously through all of you.

In this case, I'd give it another day or so; sometimes our day 1 count is ahead or lower temps could cause a late hatch. Be sure to check out the eggs if you have to toss to learn what stage they were in. Best wishes! Try, try again. I really like the BO's too.
