June hatch-a-long!

Pics
Today is now day 22. #1 hatched sometime between 6:15 and 7:15am. #s 15 and 12 are resting right now. Still nothing from 9 and 10. I thought I saw 10 wobble a little but it was hard to tell if that was it or it was just the chick's fumbling around making the tray wiggle.
If there are no external pips, I open tge incubator and candle. I meddle a bit too much though.

Day 19. I suck at lockdown... If there are no external pips, I candle and add warm water to increase humidity quick again. So checked my 9/10 (already knew #2 was dead but left in bator) eggs in bator be bed. #4 and #2:are both dead now. Idk why I am getting these late deaths. I supposed it is shipping issues. Left with 8 viable eggs. #6is moving but doesn't look big enough to hatch. The 2 that dies recently both had good air cells too. So it's disheartening! I still left them in the bator just cuz I choose hope...

It is taking ALL of my will power not to candle again today. I usually candle to see when I get internal pips. Give me strength. I don't want to over do it with these expensive shipped eggs!!!

So 8 Max will hatch. I need at least 2 pullets, so please cross your fingers! These were expensive!!! $210 so far. Hoping to get at least 5-6. Should get 2 pullets from that.

I candled last night and we’ve got 12 eggs still going :celebrate. Out of the four that we had to toss only one was infertile (we lost another egg with no evidence of what happened so we had 16). The others were severely underdeveloped or had no/detached air cells. The last candling night is Friday with hatch being around Monday.
12 is great out of 16. How far we're they shipped?

Did you seal the crack?
I went and checked the hen again this afternoon to have a proper look (was rushing this morning, baby needed a nap!) and thankfully it wasn't the one due to hatch on Thursday but a sneaky light sussex egg which had been snuck into the clutch!

Will be moving her into her own lodgings tonight to stop everyone piling into her nestbox. Hopefully she stays put this time as she's not been a fan of being moved in the past.

Or you can use boards to block the others from getting in? Just let her out 2x a day.

About three miles. My friend lives really close by. We started out with 20 but my hen decided that was too many and broke three of them. That fourth egg is a complete mystery but I think it was the second infertile one because I know there were two at day 10. I just didn’t toss them.

Oh ok. Thought for some reason they were shipped eggs!
