I have officially entered lockdown on my very first hatch (due 1st) , I’m freaking a little about the air cells. I know it’s not the best pictures but could someone shed some light and tell me that I’m on the right track. I would hate to have it all go to waste. The second ring was from day 14 candling, I did candle last night but there wasn’t a really big difference but they had progressed however looking at pictures of where they should be, it’s not really on the mark. Please ease my anxieties one worried mama!

This will be my first time using my Nurtune Right incubator through the whole setting. I am a little nervous because I really want these Spotted eggs to hatch.

I'm using my IncuView for the first time with my goose eggs and I feel the same way!
If I can make you feel any better about your Nurture Right 360, I have 2 of them and I've done about 6 hatches in them this year and I've had fantastic results! Mostly 80-100% hatch rates, with my worst hatch being 70% but there was a bacteria issue from one of my hatching egg sources. Once I pick up the rest of my eggs I will be filling both of mine again and I feel much more comfortable doing that than the IncuView! Lol

The air cells look right on track to me! They change quite a lot in the few days during lockdown so I stopped even marking my air cells at lockdown because they always pip below them anyway, lol. I can't wait to see pictures of your peeps! Good luck!

Thank you so much, I had a sneaky look and it seems as though the air cell have gotten bigger. And now, I wait...

Looking good!!!!

First hatches are so exciting and nerve-racking. Good luck! Cannot wait to see those chick...

Pitch it.

I decided to test my broody to see if she would deal with it on her own; this morning I found the empty shell on the other side of the coop, with mama hunkered down on the remaining 8. I did a double check to make sure it was the broken one, and then left her be with her babies. It gives me hope that the other eggs are potentially viable.

Tomorrow is Day 7, and I won’t be candling, I’m gonna let Florentine do her thing.

I picked up just a few Crested Cream Legbar eggs with the "Frosted" gene and some Whiting's True Blue eggs today! I'm undecided if I should wait until Friday/Saturday when I get home with the rest of the eggs to set them at the same time for ease of hatching or if I should set them now for the best viability. They were just laid yesterday so are very fresh...:hmm Decisions, decisions.
What would you all do?
