June Hatch A Long

This thread is so exciting now that we have babies popping out daily! I still have 2 weeks and 2 days to go, almost halfway through duckling Incubation! I think it’s about time I candle again.

Sorry for chick-spamming, I'm just really excited about this batch. 18 all together.
I tried to sort them by color dark to light. (silver and buff should have switched places)

Also, this guy. Should I call him Santa or Grandpa?

Have a broody so put four eggs under her two were quitters I pulled 5 days ago, and we have two new arrivals today

Welcome @LilyD! This far along those eggs are generating some good heat themselves, I’m so glad they’re srill kicking around! What did you set? We both have a little chicken math problem.

When I picked up several Muscovy hens for my niece I was given 13 Muscovy duck eggs and one EE egg set them all and EE egg hatched on Saturday night Scovy eggs go in lock down on the 4th and are supposed to hatch on the 7th fingers crossed they do.

I am on Day 12 under a broody and candled today and saw one MOVING! I am beyond excited. All 5 eggs developing nicely and I think I found a home for the little webs when they arrive!

Did a more thorough candling this weekend. Two strong blood rings. 9 seem like they're developing normally, one is iffy. So down to 10 out of 34 shipped, not great. But what are ya gonna do?

Looks like I'm in for a third hatch this month. Chloe decided to go broody!! I may have some eggs shipped to me though and swap them out. I was going to do that anyways to introduce new genes to my flock. But if I can have Mama do the incubation for me... That's even better.
