Okay, sorry to bother you yet again with questions, but my little guy is still the same as before, but now, his chirps are getting a little urgent sounding, almost like he's whining about something ? I don't want to go poking around though, after earlier. Any advice ? It's been well over 48 hours since the external pip. Do I wait it out ?
At this point I would start helping. It's likely that some of the membrane dried to him and now he can't move around enough to finish hatching, so he's calling for help. Start at the air cell and break away the shell and outer membrane until you can see the inner membrane. Dampen it with warm water or some oil so you can see if the veins are still full, and see if the membrane has glued itself to the poor baby.
