I found the video. It’s like I said funny because this hatchery has a pretty big humane expose in the past so jumping on the “organic” bandwagon is sort of funny when you know it can mean something or mean nothing.

ANYWAY... it’s long. Fast forward I’d you like to 4:15. It’s fascinating. The trays they developed. Wow.

Also... vaccinations (organic)? In the egg?!? I’m mind blown. That seems crazy.

I will leave them as they are then, i HATE late quitters, theres something totally depressing about getting them so far and then falling at the final hurdle.
This is the first and last time im doing shipped eggs, i would rather drive 200k and make a day out of it with the family to collect them than try and do damage control with the condition they arrive through the post in

I’m with you Dougiee, I just tossed 10/12 shipped black copper marans eggs and am crossing my fingers that one hatches!

Just went and checked. Pulled a little membrane away and oiled a bit more. I THINK it's still chewing and working on the yolk.

Definitely some chewing going on! All these duckling pics make me want more ducks!!!

He's just a slow poke his sisters are currently in a duck pile in their temporary brooder and it's the cutest thing. I've been using a heat plate this year but it's out with the older babies so I broke out the lamp for these guys but it's nice when I can actually see the snuggles.

Awwww, luvin all these little duckies!!! They really are the cutest!

Until they grow up to fear the giant humans lol. I find it so much easier to make them like you once their outside.

I don't think someone can ever have enough. They're so funny. I miss my adults following me around the yard. My Drake won't leave the pen with the hen sitting on eggs.
