June Hatch A Long

I’m having a stressful chicken day one of my older hens acting weird no wiggles or taps from eggs and my smallest dog had the runs all over the leashes that were on the floor next to doggie door and I found out about it too late.
Apparently posts don't post if you miss hitting a button. It's there now.
BONUS FUN fireworks by neighborhood kids freaking 2 of my dogs out.

BACK TO CHICKS. my friend/ chicken guru had me listen to them and tap. they did not tap back. I even said Please little peepers I'd like to talk to you. Seriously I did. I said I'd like you to hatch and live with me but not one of them replied.

I'm sorry you're having a stressful day! :hugs I hope things start to turn around for you soon!
You aren't going to really hear much until there is an internal pip, the eggs will be quiet until hatching starts and because you've mentioned the temps have been between 98-99 it's possible they're also a bit delayed.

AND I knocked the incubator today and they rolled about 4" so my friend had me roll them back to where they were.
Poor things are dizzy if they are still alive in there.
temp is 99 should I move it up?

I'm sure rolling them didn't hurt them! When the chicks start hatching they kick the other eggs all over the place and they still hatch just fine.

99.5F is the optimal temperature in a forced air incubator when hatching chicken eggs. If the temp was a little low through the entire incubation then I would expect a slightly later hatch. Eggs can hatch with fluctuations lower and higher than the desired 99.5 but you can expect to see later hatches with lower temps and early hatches with higher temps.

No it went lower on lockdown - the info on incubator said where to set in c so I did that’s when it went to 98 on day 18

The little fella I posted earlier is not a fella at all, but a female golden 300.

I hatched 3 golden 300s, and they’re all female! What do you know!

The brown is khaki Campbell.

Yellows are hybrid white layers or Pekin.

I’m keeping:
2 welsh harlequin
2 Silver Appleyard
3 golden 300 females
1 Cayuga
2 khaki Campbell
2 yellows

Hoping to have a couple more girls but keeping the Golden’s in case I’m not so lucky!!!

I didn’t get any runners. Kind of wanted one or two. Next time!!!

Is this a pip? Or a you tipped the incubator and broke a baby? I checked after the roll and saw no cracks at all / oh and no water in there and humidity is even higher!

I think a pip should show where the egg tooth has broken the egg shell outwards. This looks to me like the shell indents inward...

I thought so too but I googled and found some like it - but it’s the egg I thought had stopped growing. I’ll know when I go back to work in the morning
