June Hatch-A-Long

Pics
Here is an example, my incubator conked out Feb/Mar. so my LO hatch was not great, I had one boy and one girl hatch. the girl got her toe stuck on a string, panicked and died. I already have a couple of adult LO, 2 and 3 years old, so I did buy 2 straight run LO, that is all they had at North 40 prolly male. So I currently have 5 and a mystery chick that is LO or a grey meat bird, but that may be a male also. I am not going to try for any more LO hatching eggs even though I am watching them on Ebay. I have chicks being delivered in late June from Meyers I ordered last Feb. In that order is all female. 2 chicks are rare breed assortment, I am not going to hold my breath for an LO though. And that is only one breed.

One chick I wanted and have is a splash BLRW. I have only one. That started last year, a friend of mine over hatched and sold me her extra BLRW. One was a splash, and the others ended up boys so I rehomed them. The one I kept I named Splendor. She was so loving, but I lost her to a pop door accident. I ordered a BLRW from Meyer's and they sent me a look-a-like. I named her Splendor too. She is not the same hen though. But it is another breed I will think about next year.

I have 1 solid blue wyandotte, that I bought at a feed store, I had not gone to in 7 years because the lady was a cowboy grump, and prices were too high, but I bought 5 wyandottes from there 2 years ago, and decided to keep the 2 lightest ones, then recently one died for no reason. I have only one now, but not really planning on more.
