Here are my avitar babies, more fluffed out.

I want to breed them with LO and AC and hopefully they will keep the frizz.

Well.

One egg left with no pip yet, and two that zipped 3/4 of the way and then got stuck for some reason. The older one had been like that since yesterday afternoon and is now "out" with minimal assistance, but has dried membrane cemented onto it's back and leg so can't uncurl. I coated it in triple antibiotic and boosted the humidity, hopefully it will unstick as I can't do much else. The other one is still in its half opened shell so I coated that membrane as well. Poor little bubs keep trying!
Crossing my fingers for you!

Thanks for all the good thoughts. I have often tended to anthropomorphize animals and chickens and poultry have made me understand the circle of life. I tried my hardest, I didn’t try too hard, and everything happens the way it should. I’ll just figure out what that means when the time is right!

On a positive note i candled the eggs I’ve got developing and all 13 are going strong!
Yesterday I had to mercy kill a quail chick and today my husband found one of my turkeys dead... hope no one has anymore losses.

Thanks!

They are slowly making progress. Both legs are free on the older one now, but it's still got a big piece glued to it's back and one wing, I think. The other one is half out but each end is stuck in the shell. I have to go run some errands so hopefully they will free themselves while we're gone!

I don't like assisting, and wouldn't if they just pipped and died, but I feel somewhat obligated when they are hanging half out the shell and glued down!

Just one egg left, no pips yet.

Yeah, this sounds like a situation where you should give them a little helping hand. They're stuck because they're dry.

Thanks for checking in @SnapdragonQ and @CluckNDoodle

she is not improving today. She has made a few sounds after sleeping for a couple of hours but she is still doing the open mouth and tongue stick out every single breath. I have her wrapped in paper towels no inside the cat carrier so she can’t flip with her head propped on a stuffie and she is sleeping. I’m hopeful that rest can make things better as a last ditch.

I’ve gotten no help or info from my multiple geese-specific groups. It’s probably just one of those things that happens.
She CAN struggle if she wants to, so I’m thinking she isn’t terribly uncomfortable so I am okay waiting for improvement without cullin her right now.

but, this sucks.
I’m sorry about your gosling! I hope it pulls through. :fl
