Day 20/21 of broody, no movement yet! I’m so excited I don’t think I’ll be able to concentrate at work today.

Just candled my horrible air cell call duck eggs (day 5)....out of 8 eggs....looks like 7 clears and 1 blood ring. Leaving them in for a couple more days just in case. Guess I will try again with a different seller.

Seven hatchers here so far, several others working on zipping. In spite of my lopsided ratio of BSL hens and two mostly black roos, I've got mostly gold chicks running around. I must've grabbed more from the gold ladies in my random egg selection.

my baby died last night. I tried to feed her again at midnight and she didn’t want to eat. I put her in her carrier for five minutes while I let the dogs out and when I came back to get her she was gone.

what a poor turn of events I started to feel really good about it yesterday. It’s too late in the season to get another one, I hope nothing happens to another one because then I’d only have one. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
