Lockdown tomorrow for a single silkie - test run on the new hatcher!

Just out of the bator.

There were 3 more turken eggs (of which 1 wasnt moving and 1 was last night. But no action today) and 1 more mixed egg that didnt hatch.

Delaware go on lockdown tonight. Havent candled them recently with so many hatches happening consecutively.

Too funny in the bowl - they look like they are thinking "you don't want chicken soup right now".

My 2 free silkie eggs from the other day are both developing - I can see the heartbeat in both already!! I can't wait to see what color they all turn out to be, the one in lockdown & the 2 freebies!!

OK OK, I got the nerve to candle my 29 eggs, before going into lock down. I have 16, two of which look like duds butt I can't bring myself to dump them. SOOOO hopefully we will end up with at least 14 silkies. This waitin is worse than havin the kids.

We are now officially in LOCKDOWN. I filled up every little plastic spot with water in the bator. Two eggs still look duddie.

This is the 5th time I have tried this, and had no luck until I got the FAN for the Hovabator. 1st time for shipped eggs.
I could have had a flock of fluffies if the shipped eggs I got before the fan had hatched.

Should have got the fan to start with.

Day 19, The suspence is killing me. No wiggles, no peeping no zipping.

I can't stand much more of this. I can only weedy whack so much stuff outside to stay out of the house. I even went for a ride on the Harley so as not to open the bator. Don't open the bator-don't open the bator. U are not allowed to open the bator.

day 21 tomorrow still nada. Shouldn't something be happening????

I am at day 21 till about 4pm today and have nada as well, you have till day 23/24 though... still nerve wrecking though, huh?
