Went to pick up some silkie chicks and got 2 free eggs!! Soooooooooo - well, I will have to post about those when the time comes on the July hatch-a-long.

Am I alone now still hatching in June?? I have delawares that go on lockdown tomorrow.

I awoke today to new rir mix chick (from the shipped egg I didnt think would develop) from the pip I saw last night. And a pip in 1 turken egg!

I went in a few minutes ago to check on new chicky, to find a black complete naked neck almost out!! And it wasnt even the pipped egg I noticed!!! YAY!!

1 more mixed egg (out of the badly smashed shipped batch), 5 more turkens (and only 1 pip in those that I can see)

Nope - I think we still have that 1 lone silkie trying to hold on.

I go on lock down SUNDAY!!! this will be my second batch hatched in the hovabator. This time I have 29 silkies. I gotta be crazy:/ anyway, it was a good deal and the lady was suppose to send me a dozen hatching eggs and and and I don't have any silkies and I wanted some for so long, and she sent me 30! one was cracked.

I am so excited. My Hubby has decided I've cracked up.

I just came home to another hatchling (very wet). A buff turken. But no more pips that I can see dangit.

I just set 26 bantam eggs that someone hired me to hatch for them! The eggs are mostly black Cochins and frizzles, some buff Cochins and some splash Cochins are in there as well. I can't wait til they hatch!!! But then they go back to their owners...

my broody buff orphington hatched out 3 chicks today on day 20 . out of the 6 egg she was on 5 were fertile and 3 are alive and healthy. the other 2 didnt hatchout only halfway and died . so i got 2 white rock/white leghorns. and 1 black chick either a barred rock or a golden laced wyandotte.

I now have a 3rd turken!! 2 buffs, 1 brown (I thought was black). After further inspection, they arent complete NN's, but have the bowtie (yay, I like that better!)
