June Hatch a Long

Now that is funny cuz I do the same thing. But he says where was I when you told me this? Lol
Just think of what gets his interest the MOST. And say "You were doing (Insert activity)." its even if its playing dirty. Its all ok when chicken math is involved.

1st set of guineas hope still good. Just gonna cook em til they pop. or until the 12th.
New guinea and ducks, set Sat are showing developement I can see. At least 4 rouen eggs are taking right off. And a good portion of the quick checked guineas are too. Adding a set of chicken eggs Saturday to these. Depends on what ladies lay what will go in. Will be last week for my Sex-link eggs unless I swap some birds.
Got a look into guinea nest and roughly 40 eggs there today and not floating in a puddle.
SO good news for me all around.

Found my guinea nest and it had a couple chicken eggs in there too. Now I know where my one hen is laying...lol Went to check this morning and there was a broken egg. I tried to clean it out, but I bet they abandon the nest now.

One week until hatch, despite losing power for 2 hours and the incubator going down to 70* the chick is still alive in the egg!

. Don't worry about the temp drop Bree it will be fine they can take cool downs of many many hours and still be good to go trust me on that lol

I candled the second "half" of my eggs in the incubator, the ones due to hatch a week after the first half... All but the ones from my apparently infertile cockerels pen, and one clear from another boy are veining. I think the count was 14... or 13... I was candling quickly and just kind of taking mental notes LOL!

So I still have 7 that are viable in the first half as well... hoping to get a lot of babies from my birds I've never hatched from. There should be some amazing colors in this bunch :D
