June Hatch a Long

We moved our BR roo along with two of our BR hens to a coop and pen hoping to get some fertilized eggs. We have one hen with him in another pen and he did not waste time when we first placed her. We could not find where she was laying any eggs. Well after moving, DH found 3. It has been over a week since we first caught them breeding. We have a broody and want to hatch if possible. How can we confirm fertility. Do we have to have her sit on them a few days before being able to tell?
no you can crack a egg into a bowl without breaking the yolk and check the blastoderm on the yolk for fertility

Omg I am so eggcited! I finally have a broody hen. My black Cochin named Angie! I gave her three eggs to sit on. Think I might give her silkies instead of the ones she is sitting on. One is a duck egg. Lol. She stole it out of the duck nest.
