So i know today is only day 4 for me but i couldnt resist the urge to candle. I can see great development in the lightest 4 eggs the other 5 are darker and its harder to tell but it looked like 4 were developing. Yay! They were shipped from Georgia to Indiana but it was a fast trip so hopefully i get some girls.

Checked on my broody with the blue wheaton AMs and 1 has hatched!!

The equipment they had listed that I wanted was on backorder through them...that's why I went elsewhere.  Otherwise, I'd have ordered from them as they're local.  

I have used them both in the past and have had really good experience with them in Erlanger on a few things in the past

So El, I put in 12 and 10 went into lockdown, yesterday they started pipping so I uped the humidity, have 8 of 10 pipped! Eggs are rocking and rolling! Hatch day isnt till tomorrow. This is the difference with local to shipped eggs! I needed this, I forgot I could hatch eggs! LOL
Oh and the chipmunk has made it back to the woods. My phone froze or I would have gotten a great video, Hubby in underwear chasing munk, fire tool in one hand, firewood in the other, beagle dog screaming at the top of its lungs. I was atop one of the dining room chairs. It bounced around the great room like a pinball, I opened the sliding door and out it went to freedom. Dont you know this Munk had a great story to tell its Munk friends!!!!

None out yet, hatch day isnt till tomorrow! But I have 8 pips, in 3 of them I can see beaks!

This is my first time hatching with an incubator, so I'm really new to this but I'm so excited!
I candled my eggs last night on day 14 and it appears that everyone of them was developing except 4 duds (out of 41)! I was not expecting only 2 roosters to cover all of my 52 hens! I can hardly wait until next week.
I do have a broody Red Sex Link right now who I've been unable to break so I thought I'd try slipping a few chicks under her after they hatch
