We are still waiting on 11 more chicken egg's o hatch ...

And 9 Peking Duck egg's ....
I'm soo jealous! I love those little baby's!!!

I was re-reading the assisted hatching and i think it's nessesary. My chick has been chirping loudly for days without pipping.

Ok so i started opening the shell more. I worked my way round with tweezers and the top came off. I put her on a damp paper towel and back in the incubator. I'v now moved the other chicks into the brooder so they don't peck her. Here is a picture, have a done it right?

And nice hatch gander007, congrats!

Ok, i peeled back the membrane, now it looks like it can just pop out.

That's good....now let it get out the rest of the way entirely on it's own (and be sure to keep the humidity up). By getting out the rest of the way on it's own it's still working and building leg strength and will be able to absorb the yolk sack. And it will be just fine. I went through this exact same thing a couple of weeks ago, and by morning you couldn't tell that chick from the first ones out.

Thanks guys, you are reassuring me, I've no clue what I'm doing but i think it's been ready to come out for a while. I'll keep you updated!
